REPLENISHING ~ REBUILDING ~ REVITALIZING
Habitat First Aid Center
Habitat for Children Ministries is entering into a new venture with the opening of the Habitat First Aid Center in La Jeune, Haiti. Currently there are no medical facilities, clinics or hospitals within 10 miles of the area. That may seem close however, the majority of the people don’t have transportation and have to walk, ride a bicycle or take a motorcycle to their destinations. This makes the travel very far due to the unpaved roads eroded by rainwater and filled with gravel and rocks.
In order to provide the most basic care for the community, we are in need of the following medical supplies including but not limited to: basic medications of aspirin, pain relievers, cough syrup and cough drops; other first aid supplies of bandages, gauze, alcohol swabs, antiseptic ointment, medical tape, cotton balls, cotton swabs, syringes, gloves, masks, tongue depressors, hand sanitizers, antiseptic wipes, table paper, paper gowns; and medical equipment including blood pressure cuffs, thermometers, blood sugar machines, medical scales for infants to adults and bright examination lights, etc.
Your donation of any amount will help Habitat provide quick emergency care locally, purchase necessary medications and also provide transportation for those that need to go to the hospital. Please consider how you can improve the life of someone today.
Large scale medical equipment will be gladly appreciated!
4 There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. 5 There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6 There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.
(1 Corinthians 12:4-6)
Generally many people in Haiti die not because of some strange sickness but because of the inability to get to medical treatment for simple illnesses. We help facilitate such treatment by providing medical assistance through short-term mission trips to hold mobile clinics throughout the country.
