Habitat For Children Ministries would like to welcome you to our website. We hope that it ministries to your heart and inspires you to make a difference in the life of a child.
The word, “Habitat” means a place where a population lives. In 2007, the United Nations Children’s Fund estimated there to be about 380,000 Orphans in Haiti.
Since the January 12 earthquake the numbers of children in need has sky-rocketed to 500,000 +. Our goal is to decrease the number of Orphan children in Haiti. “It takes a village to raise a child.” There are many Haitian parents who cannot afford to financially support their kids and are burdened by hardship.
These children are left in orphanage and are struggling to survive. As a 501-C3 Habitat For Children Ministries is committed to feeding, clothing, educating, sheltering, and ministering to these unfortunate children to give them hope for a better future.

Our Vision Statement
Our vision is to see a transformation in the lives of the young Orphans of Haiti by providing food for their bodies, as well as food for their souls.
We know that once they have accepted Jesus Christ into their lives as their personal savior, the power of the Holy Spirit will bring about change.
Our prayer is that this transformation will become contagious and that the light that is within them will draw others to Christ as well.

Because the government does not have sufficient schools for them. 75% of all schools in Haiti are owned by the private sector (Church schools, private schools, and so forth.). All they know is violence because on the streets they are not taught any notion of love. They do get into trouble with the law. They form street gangs. They are involved in sex at a tender age. The results: Children are having children. They eat on the street; they sleep on the street; they have babies in terrible living conditions. They do not have any notion of cleanliness and are exposed to several. As a result their lifespan is shorter.
